Desus and Mero Call Sean Spicer Out for Not Taking Questions After a Press Briefing

Don't you hate it when you go see your favorite band and they don't return for an encore? It's not just disheartening, but honestly kind of disrespectful. That's how the media (and some of the general public) felt after White House press secretary Sean Spicer snuck out of a press conference without taking any questions.

During Wednesday night's episode of Desus & Mero, the hosts dissed "the Spiceman" for literally not doing his job—which definitely stung a lot more than when artists refuse to play their biggest hits.

Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson Grills Desus About His Relationship Status

For years Desus has given his friend and VICELAND co-host Kid Mero shit for settling down and having a bunch of kids. But on Thursday night's episode of Desus & Mero, the tables finally turned. The show's guest, NFL legend and father of six Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson, grilled Desus on why he's not a dad yet.

In addition to putting Desus in the hot seat on his own show, the former Miami Dolphin also talked about leaving the field for TV, his serious FIFA game, having fun on Twitter, and how much cash he actually racked up in NFL fines over the years.

Rick Ross Stops by ‘Desus & Mero’

Many illustrious guests have visited Desus & Mero, but few stand out quite like Rick Ross did during Wednesday night's episode. The rap mogul/entrepreneur gave the VICELAND hosts one of the most eclectic interviews in D&M history, as he talked about art, hefty direct deposits, DJ Khaled's demeanor, and more—all while munching on a pear.

When you're the Boss, multitasking is very important.

Desus and Mero Talk About the Recent Shea Moisture Controversy

The past few weeks have been riddled with corporate scandals and subsequent social media backlash. First with Pepsi, then United Airlines, and now the most recent mess involves the otherwise quiet haircare company, Shea Moisture.

The brand recently released an extremely tone-deaf commercial, which caused quite a stir on Twitter. Tuesday night on Desus & Mero, the VICELAND hosts discussed the bizarre ad, the company's equally bizarre response, and the woman likely behind the whole debacle.

Aubrey Plaza Told Desus and Mero She Still Texts Her ‘Parks and Rec’ Fam

Actress Aubrey Plaza has played a plethora of great characters, most recently Legion's Lenny, but to many, she will always be Pawnee's April Ludgate.

Wednesday night on Desus & Mero, the VICELAND hosts asked the former Parks and Recreation star what it's like being stopped on the street by excited fans. While Plaza may not be the exact same deadpan queen of sarcasm that she played on screen, the actress said she does enjoy fulfilling people's requests to "be mean."

If that wasn't heartwarming enough, Plaza told Desus and Mero that she and her Parks and Rec co-stars are still tight, and even have their own group text. Watch the clip below.

Anthony Anderson Tells Desus and Mero About Life After ‘Blackish’

While in Los Angeles for Weed Week, the VICELAND hosts caught up with Blackish creator Anthony Anderson to discuss his life as a Disney star. Apparently the biggest change that happened after he moved from Compton to his sitcom suburbs was that people close to him started asking for money—and he delivered. While Anderson isn't keen on spending too much, he told Desus and Mero that he's always there to support his mom and her bingo addiction.

The actor/producer/comedian also talked about growing up in Compton, having an honorary doctorate, and "Disney Weed." Watch the clip below.

Desus and Mero Talk About the ‘Choking Game’ with Jerrod Carmichael

Jerrod Carmichael may be in touch with his youthful side, but that doesn't mean the actor, comedian, and creator of The Carmichael Show knows everything kids are up to today.

"I want to hire a 16-year-old to just call me once a week and just tell me what the kids are talking about," the actor told Desus and Mero. "I want to know what they're talking about and how they're saying it."

That sparked up a conversation about the hottest teen trends, which according to Desus, includes the so-called choking game, a dangerous way to get high from, as Jerrod put it, "light asphyxiation." Along with talking about the teens, the three reminisced about being broke, read each other's auras, and pitched their own Titanic spinoffs.

Desus and Mero Discovered a Monster Truck-Themed Rap Video

Move over, Future. Step aside, Migos. Desus and Mero just discovered the most fire trap music ever made.

On Thursday night's episode, the VICELAND hosts aired a modern hip-hop masterpiece created by a group of passionate Southerners. The "rap" music video features monster trucks, cheap beer, a tractor, some four-wheelers, and a few appearances from the Confederate flag. Check out the clip below.

Political Analyst Angela Rye Discusses Her Heated Showdown with Joe Walsh

Angela Rye is not afraid to share her opinions. In a recent CNN segment, the political analyst did not hold back when criticizing former congressman Joe Walsh, who recently said that Obama was held to a "lower standard" as president because he's black.

When she visited VICELAND's Desus & Mero, Rye explained why she was so frank about Walsh's controversial statements and beliefs, and aired a few of her frustrations with the current political climate.

"I just think he shouldn't have been on TV," she told the VICELAND hosts. "Some people just don't deserve airtime. If people are bigots, you shouldn't help them be bigots."

On a less political note, Rye also talked passionately about who she loves (and hates) on Love & Hip Hop and whether or not sweet grits should exist. Check out the clip below.
